Results and Data Analysis

The developed device was tested for three different kinds of application. The purpose is to make estimation of sensor data mainly considered pressure data about the soil properties. Initial plan was to find some useful information form the sensor data which can be interpreted for finding the properties of soil for different purposes. The three application for soil measurement namely, d50, vegetation height and compactness of the road were considered. The data collected during experiment is analyzed according to these three application. The main focus was to find some important characteristics of the soil.

Data Collection

The experiment is conducted in the area near the Kuivasjärvi Lake. The four different types of soil is present near this area. Both the participant walked on four types of soil in order to gather the sensor data.
